About Heart House Hospice
The Heart House Hospice is a volunteer-driven organisation offering services to Canadian families with a member battling terminal illness. These families, both young and old, are overwhelmed and crippled by the emotional, physical and financial burden of witnessing their loved one withering before their eyes and ultimately, losing them.
Compassionate Heart House Hospice volunteers become friends to the lonely during their end-of-life journey, providing companionship, enriching and adding poignancy to every last moment they have left.
About Heart for the Holidays
For many immigrant, young and poverty-stricken families, terminal illness can cripple a family’s primary financial breadwinner. We want to support the Heart House Hospice with resources and reach out directly to these families. By giving them food and gifts , they may be able to enjoy what could likely be their last holiday season together.
Our goal is to raise $20,000. It is an extraordinary goal. We need extraordinary generosity and action from those with the means to give.
